While the state government provide essential funding for public schools to cover staff salaries, core curriculum resources, and basic facilities.
The P&C is a 100% volunteer led team who help with fundraising to bridge the gap between what the state provides and what the school community aspires to offer the Wollongbar Public School students.

WHY
FUNDRAISING

The Wollongbar P&C Committee purposefully work towards:

Developing broader student learning experiences

Helping enhance and modernise school facilities

Strengthen community engagement in and around the Northern Rivers

Advocate for the school within the broader community
In 2025 the WPS P&C Committee fundraising will go towards:

New sports bags, shirts, shorts, socks and equipment for team matches
-
Contribution to the Year 6 farewell event
-
Mathletics and Reading Eggs subscriptions for all students
-
School celebrations, including a Disco and Halloween Fancy Dress Dance
-
2 new water fountains providing filtered and cooled water for students
With further new initiatives discussed at each monthly meeting.
