The Annual Fun Run
Celebrating 125 years of education at Wollongbar Public School. The event includes market stalls, community stage, food, rides, raffles and games.
The P&C is a 100% volunteer led team who help with fundraising to bridge the gap between what the state provides and what the school community aspires to offer the Wollongbar Public School students.
While the state government provide essential funding for public schools to cover staff salaries, core curriculum resources, and basic facilities - we build on this core funding to provide memorable experiences and enriching events, equipment and offerings for our school community.
WHY
FUNDRAISING

The Wollongbar P&C Committee works to support:

Developing broader student learning experiences

Helping enhance and modernise school facilities

Strengthen community engagement in and around the Northern Rivers

Advocate for the school within the broader community
In 2026 the WPS P&C Committee fundraising will go towards:

New sports bags, shirts, shorts, socks and equipment for team matches

Contribution to the Year 6 farewell event

School celebrations, including a Disco and Halloween Fancy Dress Dance
With further new initiatives discussed at each monthly meeting.

Bunnings BBQ
In April this year we ran a Bunnings BBQ in Ballina and raised $1800 for our school.
We have another day at Bunnings coming up on Saturday 3rd October. If you can help out with this, please get in touch.
Whether you want to turn the snags, serve up the grub, or sizzle with the customers, your help is greatly needed and appreciated.

We recently supported the school with the annual disco event running the tuck shop and selling show bags.
The bags were a great success with over 100 sold raising valuable funds for the school.
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped behind the scenes and on the day to make this event happen, and thank you to all the teachers and support staff who put on such a great event.
